Dr. Camilo Achury, DDS

Dr. Achury is a graduate of Georgetown University School of Dentistry. He has been practicing in the community of Jackson Heights since 1988 and serving the communities of Mineola and Garden City since 1998. Dr. Achury has been a very dedicated professional, always seeking ways to improve the quality of and expand the services he provides. He is well versed in many of the specialties of dentistry, such as root canals, porcelain crowns and restorations, bonding, implants, and implant-related services such as bone grafting and tissue augmentation. He has traveled extensively for continuing education to places like Europe and many US cities. He completed the program for comprehensive dentistry at the prestigious Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida; completed a multi-month program at Bronx Lebanon Hospital for root canal therapy; and has been a member of Organized Dentistry, serving the Queens County Dental Society in many capacities. Currently, he is the chair for the District Claims Committee. Has been a member of the ADA and AGD for over 30 years, having been recognized as a lifetime member. and has served many other societies in many roles. He has a voracious appetite for education.

He prides himself on being able to provide excellent care for most of the dental specialties under one roof, which gives his patients a very convenient way to have their dental needs met with minimal need to go to multiple offices. He does have a very capable team behind him to help meet these goals.

Dr. Achury enjoys his family and his practice and has many interests; he enjoys bicycling, travel, and most of all, he enjoys serving his patients.

The doctor provides services in English, Spanish, and Portuguese; it is not a problem!

Dr. Diva Puerta, DDS

Dr. Puerta is a graduate of New York University School of Dentistry and the University of Antioquia in Colombia, South America. She completed her dental degree twice. She is a very dedicated and meticulous professional, very much centered in the complete treatment of her patient, paying particular attention to the medical aspect of their care. She has not only been a clinical practitioner but has also given back to her profession by being an instructor at New York University in the dental clinic in many disciplines, like restorative dentistry, but was also involved in the technology aspect, particularly related to computer-aided design and manufacturing of cosmetic restorations. She has also served the community, being active in youth programs and participating in medical missions to Latin America and the Caribbean. Dr. Puerta is a very active member of her church as well.

Dr. Puerta has participated in many continuing education programs in many different locations; she has attended the Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, has attended dissection courses in Boston, which were very helpful during surgical training, implant placement, and restoration courses, is a ceramics specialist, and is a very well-rounded, complete professional who cares deeply for her patients.

Dr. Puerta is very dedicated to her family and enjoys travel and dancing.
